Geoffrey the Glis Glis

Whilst stalking a butterfly through a little-visited area of my Granny’s garden, I caught sight of some movement in a tree to my right. I turned to look, and this little fellow was yawning and stretching! It was the cutest thing I have ever seen, however I didn’t manage to get a picture of it. I named him Geoffrey and he politely posed for a few more pictures in his nesting box. My Grandpa often used to sit on his bench and tell me about all the animals that lived in his garden, the Glis Glis being one, however this is the first one I have ever seen.

He had – I didn’t have my camera ready when he stretched and yawned a couple of seconds before this shot was taken! Possibly the cutest thing I’ve seen all year!
